What is #WiWelcome?

The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s “Wisconsin Welcome” is the first opportunity new students will have to connect with campus. By participating in the many events offered during #WiWelcome, students find community around them and familiarize themselves with their new home.

In past years, students have watched movies, poolside with “Float n’ a Flick” at the Natatorium

…and scored tons of free food and gifts from campus partners, such as DoIT and RecSports.

Students will also find their niche here in Madison. Beginning with the ceremonial Chancellor’s Convocation (keep your eye out for the Go Big Read), followed by events such as the biannual Student Organization Fair (where 900+ student orgs attend and recruit new members), incoming students will make their first connections with the UW community early on. Overall, #WiWelcome is a time for new students to get excited about all that is to come in their next four years on campus. Get ready to experience it for yourselves, #FutureBadgers!
